Witt Godden and Ryan Gershenson’s First Dance in the Gold Ballroom

Real Weddings

The happy couple’s October 2012 nuptials were capped off with a beautiful reception in the iconic Hotel du Pont ballroom.

Witt Godden and Ryan Gershenson married on Oct. 13, 2012, at the stunning Hotel du Pont in Wilmington. The two met in 2009 in Boston, where they were both finishing school. A native of Delaware, Witt knew the Hotel du Pont would be the perfect place to introduce each of their extended family and friends during a wonderful celebration. With 200 guests and not a dry eye in the room, Rabbi Syme, Ryan’s Rabbi from Temple Beth El in Michigan, proudly pronounced the two married. The reception continued in the Gold Ballroom, where the two shared their first dance as a married couple to “Sentimental Reasons” by Natalie Cole.
