Pike Creek Coffee Roasterie’s Macarons: Delaware Bride

The macaron—not to be confused with the macaroon—used to be available only in French patisseries. Now it is available in Delaware at Pike Creek Coffee Roasterie. Owner Carol Allston-Stiles fell in love with the macaron in Paris. Now she has them shipped to her shop from a bakery in New York City. Big sellers are salted caramel, French vanilla, wedding almond and crème brûlée. Brides can customize macarons by choosing shell colors and filling flavors. Prices are $2.60 each, six for $15 and 12 for $29. Favor boxes that hold two macarons are 65 cents each or four for 85 cents each.
